Olivier COUVERT

Olivier Couvert is associate professor at the University of Brest since 2009. He teaches Food Processing Technologies (Heat treatment, drying processes…) and food microbiology.

He obtained his PHD in LUBEM in 2002. The aim of this work was concerning the heat treatments optimization of canned products, to assure microbiological security while preserving organoleptic qualities.

From 2003 to 2009, he is a project manager in ADRIA Developpement (Quimper). His work subjects were related to predictive microbiology. He was in charge of the conception and the development of the Sym’Previus softwares, and the dissemination of predictive microbiology for an application in food industries.
